Well for me I'm doing great and I have some good news! I will be staying here in Acahualinca!! lol I think I might be here for my whole mission! lol but everything here is going great I'm still with my new companion the only really big change that we have had is that we painted the house... lol As for the family that we have we will be seeing that baptism soon!! I'm super happy to be able to get them into the waters of baptism We as well are preparing some other families that we have found to get baptized. For me I know the Lord knows what I need and for some reason I am here still because I need to learn something that I haven't quiet learned yet. Some things that I have learned in these last few months here are great and I wanted to share some with you
1. Love even when its impossible because its always worth the fight
2. being patient is one of the greatest virtues, and goes along with knowledge(looking through others eyes and how they see things)
3. Communication is the key to harmony between us as humans
4. Always follow your beliefs and live according to them
5. The spirit always guides if we are open to listen
Just some of the few teaching that the Lord has taught me in my time here. There are many more but however these few are some that have made the biggest impact on me. Its interesting to see how the Lord works and how he molds us and shows us the things we need to learn to grow. As I have been here in Acahualinca its been one of the most interesting areas that I have ever had because it's super small and the people seem to be exactly how I was before my mission. Ive learned that it can't only be a simple teaching that we give but we actually need to show them and inspire to want to change because I've learned that they don't because the understanding isn't there. As far as the work goes its been really awesome we are finding some new families and people who are getting prepared to be baptized this month so it should be really good. A few days ago I was thinking and looking at old pictures and it was interesting to see the difference and how much things have changed. I can for sure see a difference in about every way possible, sometimes I am surprised that I was even that person before. However like I have learned there is a time for everyone and that God prepares the way so we can come unto Him... however like always its if we want to or not. Thats something huge I've learned is trusting in God to prepare the way that I can do my part and that God will fulfill his part as promised. Sometimes its not the easiest thing to do however as we come closer and closer to him I've learned the more we trust and it starts with communication. Talking with him, and the more we talk the more he responds, we gain more knowledge, becoming more patient loving, caring, humble, obedient. I've learned thats the secret to perserving to the end is having a constant day to day communcation with our Father in Heaven. As well as when the relationship grows so do we spiritually and without knowing it we are who God wants us to be. All starting with prayer, and following what God says. I know he loves us and guides us, He hears our prayers and as we grow closer to him we are filled with the spirit who guides and lifts and gives that peace we so long for. I know that this is his church and he guides it through a living prophet. I know that our Savior lives and through the atonement and true repentence we are made white as snow.
Thats good to know you are doing well and that the family is moving along just well! It makes me happy to know how much the Lord is blessing you guys as well as me! I miss you guys a ton and hope the best for you and that you can always grow and learn. Im extremely grateful for the sacrifice you all have made to allow me to come here. I know its the Lords work and its been testified to me millions of times by the Holy Ghost. I love each and everyone of you! I know that we will be together forever through Gods plan! I LOVE AND PRAY FOR YOU ALWAYS!
