Wow, that sounds like some good kite flying weather! lol But it's very true because the power of God will always be greater than anything that man could ever make! :) Just as Nephi told his brothers when they feared Laban, he told them that the power of God was greater then anything and that is why all things are possible to them that are obedient to Him. I can't believe it is going to be the last phone call!!! so weird... When I think about it I get mixed emotions and don't know if I should be sad or overjoyed. Maybe it's best to just leave it at that when I leave. lol Its sometimes very hard mom to want to come home knowing that I now have Nica family! However I was able to hear that another one of my families entered the temple to do baptisms for the dead! I love hearing that what I have done keeps going and that the people are able to be fishers and not just receive fish.
Well for this week it's been an amazing one and I have learned that faith truly does bring forth miracles! That if we will only put more trust in Him and give Him each day more and more faith, He will show unto us His loving hand. The first week of this change was actually a hard one and it didnt go very well and it seemed like nobody wanted to even let us in and hear us. I then got a idea to go to an area called San Juan here in the concepcion and while there on divisions we were able to find some of the most humble people who I know for a fact are chosen and have been waiting far too long to hear this message!! Then when we went back we put a date for baptism and they ALL accepted and are really positive and willing to follow our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! The contact I loved the most is when we first got there we just went walking and I saw a group of people and felt the urge to contact them... about all of them were drunk. However, I did it and as I talked I told them that they could grow closer to Christ and I then asked if that is what they wanted to lift the hand to teach them and out of 7 only one lifted the hand. A little upset because only one was interested, I said no because maybe it's not their time and just his. We went and taught him and I couldn't have known someone so humble and willing to do ANYTHING to know our Savior and Redeemer. We taught and he accepted everything and is progressing more then I could ever imagine, then that same day we taught, my companion and I went to teach another family and as we walked we got to know another young man and he as well was one of the most humble people I could know! It's because of faith following the spirit even though it seemed to be something out of the ordinary! I know that we are going to help many in this part, come unto Christ and receive baptism!
By faith are all things come to pass!! I know that if we will exercise the faith necessary and not fear, God will truly lift us and give us all that we need!! I know that Christ lives and that He is our redeemer and savior, that by Him each day we have the chance to change and become more and more like Him! I know that through His grace are we saved when we have faith and love Him! I know that this is the true gospel and the true church! I know that as we become more like Christ we are able to feel more and more the loving influence of our Heavenly Father! Its not easy and I don't believe it ever will be but I know that the joy of Christ is what will make our burdens light and give us the strength to keep going and to not give up! I know that it is by Him are all things possible!!
Thanks so much for all you do mom, dad, and family!! I couldn't have asked for a better family, I know I have the best family in the whole entire world and couldn't ever find one better then I have! You are all so great and have so much potential, each and everyone of you is necessary for our family to progress as a whole! I hope you all can see how important you are and how much you mean to me!! I am always here for all the things that you guys need and whatever help I can offer! I hope all goes well and that you find success in everything you guys do, I love you all so much! Oh as well, I wanted to invite you all to read the Book of Mormon with me!! I am in 1 Nephi 5 and each day I will be reading 1 chapter so if you want to be reading with me I invite you ALL to do it with me!! But write down what you learn and I will too and each monday tell what we learned in what we read!! Just an idea lol But I love you all so much and hope you all will have a great weekend and happy thanks giving.. not sure what day it is because they don't celebrate it here but I AM THANKFUL FOR EACH OF YOU!! For the knowledge that I have of this gospel, for my God who is so merciful to allow me to know what I know!! Thankful for the atonement of Jesus Christ and what He did for me allowing me to become better and change!!
