October 28, 2013-- Happy Halloween

Well it's been a great week full of interesting experiences. I have come to love my Savior more and to apply His atoning sacrifice more unto me and I wanted to share some of the knowledge as well as the experiences that I have been able to have this week.  It all started one Tuesday when I woke up and decided to open up an Ensign from last week where it talked about the grace of God... a topic I never truly understood and is a HUGE part of the atonement of Jesus Christ.  As I usually don't have time to write everyone this is for ALL the family.  Anyways,  back to the story,  as I read I started to ponder about the atonement of my Savior and as I read many of the ideas that I had in my head were actually ones that weren't quite right.  Here some of the things I have learned.

1.  That Christ paid the debt in full, not only a part or not half then we do the rest, He actually paid the whole entire thing,  because if it weren't so, we wouldn't be able to overcome justice (immediate perfection) so He sacrificed all so then the just is paid.

2.  that He sacrificed himself because He loves us and wants us to be able to return with Him.  So He took away the immediate perfection option and filled it with a set condition that if we followed His gospel we would be able to receive the salvation.  The gospel are the conditions.

It gave a story in the talk about a mom paying a piano teacher to teach her son.  She pays the teacher in full not part but all, and the child learning no matter how well he learns to play will never pay the money that his mom did.  However, paying, the mom then can put conditions on her child as to what she would like him to do.  And that is something easy to figure out, what she wants is for him to practice, practice, practice.  She never said he would be perfected at the start but she knew that if he practiced enough he would reach perfection.

Now putting it into terms of the gospel that christ has paid the price in full, and there in no way to repay him no matter how much we want to and want to there isnt a way to pay that back, its been paid, but just like mom gave us the gift.  Christ too has given the gift of repentance, knowing that in the start we wont be perfect but if we use this gift correctly we can become perfect for now and all the eternity.

He taught us to first have faith in Him and to become just as He is, then to change our lives and put it into harmony with His ( suffering for sin isn't to pay for the justice but its actually to flip a switch in us to change, to feel bad so then we change and become better)  By making and keeping covenants we are able to open up the Heavens to help us stay on the right path and keep our lives in line with His.  Little by little with the Holy Ghost we change and become more like Him confronting different experiences which allow us to become more and more like Him, though hard they are completely necessary to overcome our pride and become just as He is.  The part of the gospel of enduring to the end is the part that is most necessary because without it the change would be superficial and unimportant, but with this principal, we are better to see our weaknesses and challenges and that much more are strengthened and made stronger.  It brings to pass that everlasting change in us that lasts for now and throughout all the eternity.  Though hard and sometimes unbearable it may seem, remember, that you weren't the only one to feel how you do and there is someone who knows your pains and difficulties, your never alone He knows you personally and happily and readily there to come to help you.

I've learned that all we can do is show love for His last and great sacrifice for each of us, we don't keep the commandments just so then justice passes over us but we live them to show our Savior that we are grateful for what He did for each and everyone of us.  He bled through each and every pore suffered all sins, sicknesses, temptations that come temporally as well as spiritually,  I've learned that faith in Him was never an easy thing but its a principle of power if we allow it to work within us and if we truly know He really suffered for our sins.  I know that He truly loves me and that He lives to answer all my prayers.  I know He is with me in the thick and thin, He will guide you as you come unto Him and allow this sacrifice to live within you.  Understanding that first he suffered for YOU because He loves you more then you will ever imagine.  I know that these things are true that through Him we are able to make that everlasting change by following and keeping  on the path.  It's not easy but well worth it!

WE may not be perfect now, but practice practice practice, so then one day we can get it right and become just as He is.  I love each and everyone of you and sorry for not responding to each one individually but I hope you all know I am grateful for all the birthday wishes and the day was great, I ate a lot of cake and it was filled with lots of flour and eggs! lol  It was fun and this week as well has been great.  I can't believe how fast time is going I feel like it was yesterday I was entering into this area and now I already have three changes!!  Things are still the same and hopefully we will have a baptism this week but for me things are going great because I've been able to put into practice my faith in my Savior to become better.

Thanks for all that you guys do, I love each and everyone  of you and hope the best in all things that you do!  I feel bad for not writing each one but I hope you all can take something from this message, I love you all with all my heart and cant wait to talk in a few months! lol Love you!!
